84 Orange Avenue · Suffern, New York
“Started as a small bar and ended up as a pub that people call home.”
The pub’s own description of itself
A pub on Orange Avenue, open until midnight six nights a week.

Hours
Shut on Monday. Midnight every other night.
Half past eleven in the morning until midnight, Tuesday through Sunday — including both weekend days and Sunday. Monday is the only closed day, and it is the one people get wrong.
Twelve and a half hours a day, six days a week, is a long shift. It is also the thing that makes a pub the place people end up, and it deserves to be stated plainly somewhere findable.

The board
Six things customers order by name.
Ranked by how often people mention them. These came from customers rather than from a published menu — no menu is published anywhere the public can read it.
Fish and chips
The most-named plate in the place, and the one a pub gets judged on.
French onion soup
Named steadily, which is unusual enough to be worth saying.
Chicken cordon bleu
Not what most people expect on a pub menu, and ordered anyway.
Sliced skirt cheesesteak
Skirt steak rather than the usual chopped filling.
Grilled pork chop
Photographed more than once.
Beer, from the taps
The pub’s own description leads with what it pours before what it cooks.
